While the total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT) increased by $757 million in the week of August 18 compared to the previous week and reached $117 billion 76 million, the upward trend was carried over to the 10th week in a row.

Accordingly, as of August 18, the gross foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank increased by $1 billion 192 million to $76 billion 293 million. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of $75 billion 101 million on 11 August.
In the said period, gold reserves decreased by $435 million from $41 billion 218 million to $40 billion 783 million.
Thus, the Central Bank’s total reserves rose from $116 billion 319 million to $117 billion 76 million in the week of August 18, with an increase of $757 million compared to the previous week.
While the upward trend in reserves was carried over to the 10th week in a row, the reserves, which were at the level of $98.5 billion as of the end of May, increased to $117.08 billion as of August 18. Thus, the increase in the period from the end of May to the said date reached approximately $18.6 billion.
