In the statement made by the Association of German Travel Agencies (DRV), it was stated that early booking numbers for holiday packages in Germany increased by 30% at the end of January compared to last year.
In the statement, it was stated that the number of reservations increased by 11% compared to the summer period of 2019, but it was noted that it was still 17% below the pre-Covid-19 level.
It was stated in the statement that Turkiye ranked first among the 10 most booked holiday destinations from Germany for summer holidays this year. “Among the most popular package holiday destinations for the summer of 2024, Turkiye and Antalya surroundings have now surpassed Spain and ranked first. The country on the Bosphorus is especially popular among families with children.”
In the statement, it was stated that Turkiye was followed by Spain, Greece and Egypt.
