Turkiye’s Service Producer Price Index Sees Significant Rise in May

Monthly Increase of 1.63% and Annual Surge of 84.6% Reported by Turkish Statistical Institute

The Service Producer Price Index (H-UFE) saw a significant rise in May, increasing by 1.63% on a monthly basis and 84.6% on an annual basis, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute’s latest data.

The H-UFE figures for May show a month-on-month increase of 1.63%, a 31.01% rise compared to December of the previous year, and an 84.6% surge compared to the same month last year. Additionally, the 12-month average increase was recorded at 80.77%.

Sector-specific data reveals that compared to the same month last year, transportation and storage services saw an 82.54% increase, accommodation and food services rose by 86.31%, information and communication services by 84.16%, real estate services by 75.43%, professional, scientific, and technical services by 89.92%, and administrative and support services by 89.27%.

On a monthly basis, transportation and storage services increased by 1.29%, accommodation and food services by 6.45%, real estate services by 5.68%, and administrative and support services by 2.45%. In contrast, information and communication services decreased by 1.5%, and professional, scientific, and technical services saw a decline of 3.61%.
