Stock exchange earns around 45.4 points at opening session
Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 8,035.83 points, up by 0.57% or 45.41 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed Tuesday at 7,990.42 points,up by 3.10%, with a daily trading volume of 127 billion Turkish liras ($4.52 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 28.1220 as of 10.20 a.m. local time (0720GMT), while the euro/Turkish lira rate stood at 29.7690, and a British pound traded for 34.1790 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $87.75 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,982.85.
