BIST 30 Index Contract Opens Week with Decline: April Maturity at 10,067.00 Points

The contract based on the BIST 30 index for April maturity at the Borsa Istanbul Futures and Options Market started the week at 10,067.00 points, with a decrease of 0.3%.

The April futures index contract was traded at 10,067.00 in the opening session, 0.3% below the previous normal session closing.

The index contract, which followed a selling trend on Friday, completed the normal session at 10,096.00 points, 0.6% below its previous closing. The index contract continued its downward trend in the evening session and fell to 10,055.00 points.

Analysts stated that global equity markets started the week cautiously, with the busy data calendar and the verbal guidance of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) officials being the focus of investors.

Analysts stated that today, domestic labor force statistics and abroad, construction permits and new housing sales data in the USA will be followed. And that technically, 10,000 and 9,900 levels in the index contract are support, while 10,100 and 10,200 points are resistance.
