CBRT reserves increased to $108.6 billion

Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, “The CBRT reserves, which were $98.5 billion on May 26, increased to $108.6 billion on 30 June. In the same period, net reserves improved by $14.2 billion.”

Minister Simsek made a statement on the Central Bank’s reserves on his Twitter account.

Simsek used the following expressions in the post:

“An important goal of our program is to accumulate international reserves to the extent that market conditions allow. Central Bank reserves, which were $98.5 billion on 26 May, increased to $108.6 billion on 30 June. In the same period, net reserves improved by $14.2 billion.

This rapid increase in reserves observed recently is encouraging. In addition to the rational policies that will contribute to the increase in the Central Bank’s reserves, our efforts to provide additional foreign resources to our country continue rapidly. We will continue to take the necessary steps for the continuation of the recovery.”
