Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan emphasized that leading indicators indicate that domestic and foreign investors have started to increase the share of Turkish lira (TL) assets in their portfolios and said, “We are determined to increase the local and international demand for TL assets.”
The messages of Hafize Gaye Erkan, President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT), who spoke at the opening of the OIC-COMCEC Central Banks Forum Meeting, which was held closed to the press, were shared on the CBRT’s social media platform.
Stating that “We will continue to resolutely implement our road map to establish disinflation in 2024,” Erkan noted that the recent regulations aim to increase the share of TL deposits.
Erkan said, “Leading indicators indicate that domestic and foreign investors have started to increase the share of TL assets in their portfolios. We are determined to increase the local and international demand for TL assets.”
