The dried fruit and products sector of the Southeastern Anatolia Region realized $142 million 361 thousand of exports in 7 months of the year.
Mehmet Cikmaz, President of the Southeast Anatolian Dried Fruits and Products Exporters’ Association, stated in his written statement that there was a decrease in the exports of the sector in the region.
Noting that product-based pistachio exports decreased the most, Cikmaz said, “The export of our region in the January-July period was $142 million 361 thousand. Apricots accounted for the most product-based income. In the said period, $61 million 299 thousand were earned from apricots. Apricots were followed by pistachios.”
