Saadettin Cagan, Chairman of the Board of the Mediterranean Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (AKMIB), reported that their union realized foreign sales of $319.8 million in April.

In his written statement, Cagan noted that AKMIB achieved the highest export values in April in mineral fuels and mineral oils, plastics and products, and inorganic chemicals.

Cagan stated that they exported the most to Italy in the said period. “The export of our union reached $319.8 million in April. In this period, we exported $189 million in mineral fuels and mineral oils, $49.1 million in plastics and products, and $37.4 million in inorganic chemicals. The highest export was made to Italy with $69.3 million.”

Cagan noted that thanks to the discounts on natural gas and electricity used in the industry, the hand of exporting companies in global markets has become stronger.
