Foreign Producer Price Index increased in November

Foreign Producer Price Index increased by 3.51% on a monthly basis and 59.15% on an annual basis in November.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced YD-PPI data for November.

Accordingly, YD-PPI increased by 3.51% in November compared to the previous month, 54.86% compared to December last year, 59.15% compared to the same month last year and 50.1% compared to 12-month averages.

Looking at the annual changes in the two sectors of the industry, there was an increase of 59.51% in mining and quarrying and 59.14% in manufacturing. Considering the annual changes of the main industrial groups, there was an increase of 51.39% in intermediate goods, 63.86% in durable consumer goods, 64.38% in non-durable consumer goods, 55.05% in energy and 66.6% in capital goods.

Monthly changes in the two sectors of the industry were calculated as 4.29% increase in mining and quarrying and 3.5% increase in manufacturing. In the monthly changes of the main industrial groups, an increase of 3.37% in intermediate goods, 4.43% in durable consumer goods, 4.35% in non-durable consumer goods and 4.16% in capital goods, and a decrease of 1.39% in energy were recorded.

According to the annual YD-PPI, 7 sub-sectors showed lower changes and 18 sub-sectors showed higher changes.

Among the YD-PPI sectors, paper and paper products, base metals, 44.07%, printing and recording services, 44.24% were the sub-sectors where the indices increased the least. On the other hand, tobacco products with 92.02%, machinery and equipment not classified elsewhere (BYS) with 71.59% and beverages with 70.74% were calculated as the sub-sectors where the indices increased the most.

According to the monthly YD-PPI, 7 sub-sectors showed a lower change and 18 sub-sectors showed a higher change.

The only sub-sector that showed a monthly decrease was coke and refined petroleum products with 1.39%. On the other hand, beverages with 6.98%, metal ores with 5.49% and electrical equipment with 4.88% were recorded as the sub-sectors where the indices increased the most.
