Indeks Bilgisayar, one of Turkiye’s leading information technology distribution groups and a publicly traded company within Indeks Grup, has finalized the acquisition of a 51% stake in HB Bilisim A.S. for a valuation of $23,235,294. With a legacy of 24 years in the information technology sector, Indeks Bilgisayar has officially announced the acquisition of 51% of HB Bilisim’s shares for $23.2 million.
HB Bilisim A.S., known for its specialized team, particularly excels in refurbishing various technology products, notably Apple, and offering them to the market through corporate and retail solution partners, backed by 12-month warranties and diverse financial solutions. The company has set ambitious targets, aiming for a net sales figure of $51 million in 2024 and $70 million in 2025, alongside a net profit projection of $5 million for 2024 and $7 million for 2025.
Erol Bilecik, Chairman of the Board at Indeks Grup Companies, shared his insights on the acquisition:
“The refurbished device sector extends beyond smartphones, encompassing a wide array of products like laptops, tablets, audio devices, wearables, small appliances, and gaming consoles, all experiencing rapid growth in demand and market share. In advanced markets, refurbished smartphones alone constitute 25% of the market, with a global refurbished smartphone market valued at $64 billion in 2022. With our forward-looking strategy, our company has ventured into this expanding market through a robust business partnership. We anticipate this investment to significantly bolster our company’s net profit and net profit margin in our consolidated financial statements. Looking ahead, we are planning to establish a presence in the European market by setting up a company in Germany, further enhancing our capabilities.”
