Industrial production increased by 1.6% month-on-month in June in Turkiye

The industrial production index increased by 1.6% on a monthly basis and by 0.6% on an annual basis in June.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the results of the industrial production index for the month of June.

Accordingly, calendar-adjusted industrial production increased by 0.6% in June compared to the same month of the previous year.

When the sub-sectors of the industry are analyzed, it is calculated that the mining and quarrying sector index decreased by 11.6% and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 3.4% in June compared to the same month of the previous year. The manufacturing industry sector index, on the other hand, increased by 2.1%.

The unadjusted industrial production index also decreased by 10.47% on an annual basis.

Monthly data on industrial production

Seasonally and calendar-adjusted industrial production increased by 1.6% in the given month compared to May.

When the sub-sectors of the industry are analyzed, the mining and quarrying sector index decreased by 4.2% and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 2.1% in June compared to the previous month. The manufacturing industry sector index, on the other hand, increased by 2.3%.
