Istanbul Advances 16 Positions in Global Financial Center Rankings

In a ranking compiled by the British Z/Yen Group, which evaluates the world’s top 133 financial hubs, where does Istanbul stand?

Moscow, the capital of Russia, ranked 118th in the Global Financial Centers Index (GFCI) this year, and St. Petersburg ranked 120th.

The index prepared by the British Z/Yen Group lists the world’s 133 largest financial centers. Istanbul is in the 110th place.

Moscow ranked 3rd in the index compared to last year, and St. Petersburg advanced 6 places.

Istanbul also rose 16 places in the list.

The top five places in the Global Financial Centers Index are New York, London, Singapore, Hong Kong and San Francisco.
