Mobilet, one of Turkiye’s leading online ticketing platforms, has acquired Biletiva, a ticketing startup for the cinema industry.
In line with the information we received directly from Ihsan Elgin, Mobilet, one of Turkiye’s leading online ticketing platforms, purchased Biletiva, a ticketing startup for the cinema industry.
Founded in 2013, Biletiva has become one of the leading names in the sector by specializing in the vertical of theater and cinema tickets. Completing its 10th year in the industry this year, the company will continue on its way under the Mobilet brand from now on. Mobilet, on the other hand, will enter the cinema industry with this acquisition and will begin to offer more innovative services to its customers.
Mobilet, whose partners include Muzaffer Yildirim and Mert Firat, who are among the important names of the entertainment and art sector, and which entered a period of rapid growth in 2021 with the investment it received from Finberg and Oyak Investment. While doubling its transaction volume in 2022, it will begin to serve over 3 million customers with this acquisition. Mobilet, which organizes ticket sales in many venues in categories such as concerts, theater, basketball matches and stand-up shows, plans to make a rapid entry into the cinema industry with this purchase.
Making a statement on the subject, Mert Firat made a statement regarding this step they took in line with their dreams of positioning Mobilet as Turkiye’s leading event platform;
