All economists participating in AA Finans’ expectations survey expect the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT) to keep the policy rate constant.
AA Finans’ expectation survey for the CBRT’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting to be held on Thursday, February 22 resulted in the participation of 14 economists.
According to the survey results, all economists predict that the policy rate will be kept constant at 45%.
The median of economists’ year-end policy rate expectations was 36.25%.
At the MPC meeting held last month, the policy rate was increased by 250 basis points to 45%.
