Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT) Governor Fatih Karahan made his first evaluation after his appointment.
Karahan stated that they continue their efforts to reduce inflation with determination and said:
“In this regard, we continue our efforts to ensure disinflation with determination with our strong team. We are determined to maintain the necessary monetary tightness until inflation drops to levels compatible with our target. We closely follow inflation expectations and pricing behavior. We will definitely not allow any deterioration in the inflation outlook.”
Fatih Karahan will announce the first inflation report of 2024 at the meeting to be held on Thursday, February 8, at 10.30.
