Passenger capacity to be doubled at Antalya Airport

Antalya Airport, which serves millions of local and foreign people, will double its passenger capacity with new investments.

According to the statement made by the Antalya Governorship, Governor Ersin Yazici examined the expansion works carried out by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMI) at the airport.

Having received information about the works from Durdali Savkar, Chief Manager of DHMI Antalya Airport, Yazici said that investments in the expansion of domestic and international terminals at the airport, construction of the State Guesthouse, increasing the apron capacity, new taxiways, new technical block, tower and transmitter station, fuel storage and distribution facility continue.

Stating that the works are carried out quickly, Yazici stated that the airport will begin to serve with its renewed face as soon as possible.

Stating that the investments at the airport will add added value to tourism, Yazici said, “The capacity of the airport will be doubled with the investments to be made. A busy season is ahead of us. We are taking our investment programs and measures accordingly. The airport will serve more passengers with its expanding capacity.”

Yazici congratulated Savkar on DHMI’s 90th anniversary.
