Retail sales volume increased by 31% year-on-year in July in Turkiye

Retail sales volume at constant prices increased by 31% in July compared to the same month last year.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the retail sales indices for July.

Accordingly, retail sales volume at constant prices increased by 2.7% in July compared to the previous month. During this period, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 5.9%, while automotive fuel sales decreased by 1% and food, beverage and tobacco sales decreased by 2.4%.

Retail sales volume at constant prices increased by 31% in July compared to the same month last year. In the same period, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 19.1%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 41.8% and automotive fuel sales increased by 17%.

Retail turnover

Retail turnover at current prices increased by 93.3% in July compared to the same month last year. In the same month, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 84.4%, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 124.3%, and automotive fuel sales increased by 38.1%.

Retail turnover increased by 12% in July compared to the previous month. In the same month, an increase of 3.7% in food, beverage and tobacco sales, 13.5% in non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) and 23.9% in automotive fuel sales were recorded.
