Scope raises Turkiye’s credit rating outlook

Germany-based credit rating agency Scope Ratings confirmed Turkiye’s credit rating and revised its outlook upwards.

In the statement made by Scope Ratings, Turkiye’s long-term foreign currency credit rating was confirmed as “B-” and its local currency rating was confirmed as “B”. Scope revised its credit rating outlook from “negative” to “stable”.

In the statement, it was stated that the revision of the outlook was due to the recent performance of traditional policies. Scope also improved its assessment of the reliability and effectiveness of the CBRT.

Emphasizing that local elections may affect the sustainable performance of monetary policy, the organization stated that rising interest rates may shrink the economy.

International credit rating agency Moody’s confirmed Turkiye’s credit rating as “B3” and changed its rating outlook from “stable” to “positive”.
