Turkiye’s oil imports increased by 0.96% in October

Turkiye’s total imports of oil and petroleum products increased by 0.96% in October compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 4 million 244 thousand 16 tons.

According to the “Oil Market Sector Report” of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority for October, imports of crude oil, which constitutes the largest item in Turkiye’s total oil imports, increased by 2.04% and reached 2 million 943 thousand 11 tons.

During this period, imports of diesel types increased by 7.37% to 925 thousand 871 tons.

The remaining part of imports consisted of aviation and maritime fuels, gasoline and fuel oil types and other products.

Thus, total imports increased by 0.96% in October compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 4 million 244 thousand 16 tons.

While the highest import of crude oil and petroleum products was from Russia with 2 million 118 thousand 937 tons, this country was followed by Iraq with 865 thousand 903 tons and Kazakhstan with 553 thousand 687 tons.

On the other hand, gasoline sales increased by 6.25% in October compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 326 thousand 685 tons, and diesel sales increased by 0.83%, reaching 2 million 207 thousand 29 tons.

Total sales of petroleum products increased by 1.05% and were recorded as 2 million 679 thousand 997 tons.

Exports of petroleum products increased by 0.58%

While Turkiye’s aviation fuel exports increased by 14.1% in October, reaching 480 thousand 280 tons, maritime fuel exports decreased by 31.4% and reached 97 thousand 555 tons.

Exports of gasoline types increased by 12.1% to 162 thousand 555 tons, and exports of diesel types increased by 33.3% to 285 thousand 842 tons.

Total exports of other products in the oil market increased by 9.63% to 1 million 292 thousand 801 tons.

In October, the production of diesel types increased by 2.4% compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 1 million 596 thousand 497 tons, the production of gasoline types increased by 19.9% and reached 519 thousand 605 tons, and the production of aviation fuels increased by 33.8% and reached 519 thousand 192 tons. Marine fuel production decreased by 44.9% and was calculated as 80 thousand 317 tons.

Total refinery production of petroleum products with other fuel types increased by approximately 7.32%, reaching 3 million 449 thousand 379 tons.
