“We believe that exports will reach better points”

Saban Turgut, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of DKIB and Chairman of the Tea Sector Committee, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that Turkish tea exports are increasing every year.

Drawing attention to the country diversity as well as the increase in the export of the product, Turgut stated that Turkish tea exports started the year well and closed the first half of the year with an increase.

Turgut stated that they are hopeful that tea exports will continue to increase until the end of the year, adding, “Our tea exports and country diversity increase every year. Our aim is to increase our exports to Europe, the Middle East, the USA and the Far East countries. We will continue our work on this issue effectively in the coming period. “

Explaining that the tourism potential also reflects positively on tea exports, Turgut said, “The intense influx of tourists to our region has increased the awareness of our tea, and this has contributed positively to our exports. We believe that exports will reach better points with the promotion and trade delegation programs in this regard. We are focusing on our work in this direction.”
