The chemical industry became the second most exporting sector in November in Turkiye

According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), the chemical industry, which exported $2.8 billion, became the second sector with the highest exports in November.

Adil Pelister, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IKMIB, whose views were included in the statement made by the Istanbul Chemicals and Products Exporters Association (IKMIB), evaluated the export data of the sector and said:

“In November, our chemical industry achieved $2.8 billion of exports with an increase of 11.9% and received a 12.5% share of our country’s exports. Our sector’s exports in the January-November period reached $28 billion. This year has been a challenging year for both our country and the global economy. Despite this, we expect our chemical industry, which showed an increasing performance compared to last year in the last quarter of the year, to exceed $30 billion in year-end exports. After our export record of $33.6 billion last year, it is very important to exceed the $30 billion figure this year despite all the difficult conditions. We, as IKMIB, will continue to contribute to the increase of exports of our sector and acquisition of new markets with the fair national participation organizations, trade and purchasing delegations, and UR-GE projects we organize.”
