The Central Bank Monetary Policy Committee will announce the first interest rate decision of the new year on Thursday, January 25. The bank increased the policy rate to 42.5% in the previous meeting.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT) Monetary Policy Committee will meet on Thursday, January 25, under the chairmanship of Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan.
The interest rate decision will be announced at 14:00 on the same day. At the MPC meeting held last month, the policy rate was increased by 250 basis points to 42.5%.
Policy rate current month-end expectation is 45%
According to the CBRT Market Participants Survey, expectations regarding the policy rate for the end of the current month and 3 months later were determined as 45%.
The policy rate expectation for the next 12 months was 36.54%.
