The fourth Turkiye-Azerbaijan Energy Forum will be held in Turkiye

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar stated that the partnership between Turkiye and Azerbaijan plays a very important role for the supply security of Europe and the region and that he believes that this will continue to increase in the future.

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar met with Minister of Energy Perviz Shahbazov in Azerbaijan, where he came to hold contacts.

Expressing his pleasure to be in Azerbaijan, Bayraktar emphasized that the friendship and brotherhood of the two countries are at a very high level, and that the friendship and brotherhood of the presidents and the direction they show take this unity even further.

Bayraktar stated that they see Azerbaijan’s joy as their own joy and its sadness as their own, and said that the victory in the 2nd Karabakh War is also a source of pride for Turkiye.

Expressing that they are happy to see Azerbaijan’s development in the field of energy, Bayraktar said, “It is important for the relations between the two countries to grow in every field. The partnership of Turkiye and Azerbaijan plays a very important role for the supply security of Europe and the region. I believe this will continue to increase in the coming period.”

THE FOURTH “TURKIYE-AZERBAIJAN ENERGY FORUM” WILL BE HELD IN TURKIYE

Bayraktar stated that Azerbaijan’s recent progress in the field of electricity and renewable energy is admirable, that the relations between the two countries in the field of energy have become more institutionalized, and that the fourth of the “Turkiye-Azerbaijan Energy Forum”, which was held in Nakhchivan last year, will be held in Turkiye this year.

Stating that work is being carried out on electricity transmission from Azerbaijan to Turkiye, Bayraktar emphasized that the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change will be held in Azerbaijan this year and the eyes of the whole world will be on Baku.

Minister Shahbazov said that they have implemented systematic and beneficial cooperation with Turkiye in the field of energy, as in every field.

Stating that they have a very broad agenda with Turkiye, including oil and natural gas, electricity and renewable energy, Shahbazov said that they will do their best to further develop relations in the field of energy.
