According to the data of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), the product whose price increased the most in October compared to the previous month was top coat with 83.90%, while green beans led the decrease with 27.96%.
In order to ensure the transparency of the markets and inform the public, the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) announced the products with the highest and lowest retail prices in Istanbul in October compared to the previous month, along with their prices and change rates.
Accordingly, while the retail prices of 147 of the 242 products in the Istanbul Wage Earners Living Index increased, the prices of 17 products decreased and the prices of 78 products did not change.
Top coat prices increased the most
In October, top coat, which is in the men’s clothing expenditures subgroup of the clothing expenditures group, was the product whose price increased the most with 83.90%.
Some of the other products whose prices increased were sweaters with 75.89%, top coats with 67.10%, and coats with 64.69% from the subgroup of women’s clothing expenditures. From the men’s clothing expenditure sub-group, it was coats with 60.91%, from the women’s clothing expenditure sub-group, it was coats with 46.66%, and from the women’s clothing expenditure sub-group, it was shoes with 40.17%.
Products with the highest price reductions
In October, green beans, which are included in the fresh and dried vegetables and fruits subgroup of food expenditures, were the product whose prices decreased the most, with a decrease of 27.96%.
Green beans were followed by intercity bus tickets with 19.03%, spinach with 14.29%, lemon with 7.97% and cabbage with 6.82%, curly salad with 6.37% and match entrance ticket with 6.32%.
