In March, the highest price increase was 19.90% in “veal”, and the highest price decrease was in “intercity passenger transportation by land” with 6.25%.
According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the increase in beef prices was followed by the increase in delicatessen products and other meat varieties with 15.16%, egg and egg-related products with 11.16%, and package tours with 10.88%.
Among the other products with the highest price increase in March, secondary education took place with 9.40%, dining room and living room furniture with 6.66%, coffee with 6.19%, poultry meat with 5.89%, medicines with 5.38%, and pasta with 4.96%.
Last month, the highest price decrease was realized in intercity passenger transportation by road with 6.25%. This was followed by vegetables with 5.01%, women’s clothing with 3.79%, men’s clothing with 2.15%, and other fats and oils with 1.91%, fresh milk with 1.29%, margarine with 1.19%, solid fuels with 0.96% and women’s shoes with 0.89%. The least price decrease was seen in sugar with 0.42%.
