Thousands of distinguished buyers from 100 countries will come to Istanbul for IFCO

Mustafa Pasahan, Vice President of IHKIB, stated that they will sign much more ambitious collaborations in the fourth of IFCO, which takes place in international fair calendars.

According to the statement made by the Istanbul Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters’ Association (IHKIB), the countdown continues for the fourth Istanbul Ready-to-Wear and Fashion Fair (IFCO), which has become one of the global prestige organizations of the Turkish fashion industry with its success in a short time. Thousands of distinguished buyers from 100 countries will come to Istanbul for the fair to be held by IHKIB between 9-11 August.

“We aim to increase our ready-to-wear exports to over $40 billion”

IHKIB Vice President Pasahan, whose views were included in the statement, reminded that they gathered all product groups in ready-made clothing under the same roof at the IFCO, the first of which was held in February 2021. Emphasizing that they made IFCO the meeting point of the global fashion industry in a short time, Pasahan said:

“Turkiye is a global player in ready-to-wear and apparel. We have an annual export of $21 billion . We aim to increase our exports to over $40 billion in the medium term. In line with this goal, we are working to increase our design, brand-oriented and sustainable production capacity, on the one hand, and to make Istanbul one of the most important fashion centers of the world. On the other hand, we are working to make Istanbul one of the most important fashion centers of the world. An important milestone in line with this goal, IFCO has become a brand not only for our industry but also for Turkiye.

We prepared very ambitiously for IFCO, which made a name for itself with its success in a short time and took its place in international fair calendars. More than 400 participating companies in different product groups will take their place at the fair. We are faced with a great interest from abroad. Thousands of buyers from five continents, from America to Australia, from Europe to Africa, will come to Istanbul. Our participating companies will hold bilateral business meetings with procurement committees from target and distant countries, especially the USA, Germany and England. I believe that as a result of these meetings, we will sign many new collaborations.”
