THY made its first flight to Australia: Tickets starting from $999

Turkish Airlines’ (THY) plane, which made its first flight to the Australian Continent, landed in Melbourne.

In the statement made by THY Press Consultancy, it was stated that THY, the airline company that flies to the most countries in the world, added Melbourne, its first point on the Australian Continent, to its flight network.

In the statement, it was stated that the first flight on the Istanbul Airport-Singapore Changi Airport-Melbourne Airport route, which started on March 1, was completed, and said, “The flag carrier, which reached 130 countries and 346 destinations on 6 continents, introduced its guests to the unique beauty of the city of Melbourne.”

It was stated in the statement that there will be 3 flights a week to Melbourne and thousands of visitors will be able to benefit from these flights every year, and it was emphasized that the flights will contribute to the tourism and trade volumes of both countries.

It was stated that THY is the only European airline operating flights to Melbourne Airport.

THY Board of Directors and Executive Committee Chairman Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, whose opinion was included in the statement, said:

We are excited about our goal of reaching the Australian Continent, where we have successfully carried out infrastructure work, and of bringing Istanbul together with Australia, the 6th continent of the world. Flights to Melbourne not only strengthen our presence in the Asia-Pacific Region, but also demonstrate our commitment to connecting the world’s people and cultures.

With its natural beauties and hospitable people, Australia becomes the 130th country and 6th continent under our wings. “While we provide our guests with the opportunity to explore the world with our unique flight network, we continue to expand and improve our service quality across continents.”

In the statement, it was stated that passengers can travel from Istanbul to Melbourne for $1199 and from Melbourne to Istanbul for $999 between 1 March and 15 May with the tickets they purchase between 19 January and 15 April.
