Current Status of Dollar/TL and Euro/TL Exchange Rates and Daily Forex Market Assessment

Investors are closely monitoring the dollar and euro exchange rates in Turkiye today. The dollar to Turkish lira (USD/TRY) rate has been fluctuating between 32 and 32.7 for nearly the past three months. Starting around 32.55 this short week, the dollar rate remains a focal point for market participants throughout the day.

Today, Turkiye will release its May budget and debt stock data alongside the June consumer confidence index. Meanwhile, Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Simsek, will be engaging with international investors in London. His engagements will continue until Friday and include meetings organized by JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, and Dome Group with portfolio investors.

On the global front, attention is also on the interest rate decisions of central banks. The decisions from the Bank of England, Swiss National Bank, and Norges Bank are being closely watched. While the Bank of England and Norges Bank are expected to maintain their interest rates, the Swiss National Bank is anticipated to cut its policy rate by another 25 basis points for the second consecutive time. These developments are likely to influence the global economic outlook.
