Regulations were made in the analysis methods of olive oil and pomace oil

The analysis methods of olive oil and pomace oil were regulated within the framework of European Union (EU) norms.

The “Turkish Food Codex Olive Oil and Pomace Oil Analysis Methods Communiqué” of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.

Accordingly, the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 2022/2105 of 29 July 2022 on Conformity Controls and Analysis Methods of Marketing Standards of Olive Oil was taken into account in the analysis method of olive oil and pomace oil.

Institutions and organizations currently operating and conducting food analysis for official controls within the scope of the communiqué were granted a compliance period until June 1, 2024.

Turkish Food Codex Olive Oil and Pomace Oil Analysis Methods Communiqué (Communiqué No: 2014/53) published in the Official Gazette No. 29181 dated 20 November 2014 has been repealed.
