Turkiye and Canada expanded air transportation agreement

Canadian Minister of Transport Pablo Rodriguez announced that Canada recently expanded air transport agreements with Ethiopia, Jordan and Turkiye under the Blue Sky Policy.

The expanded agreement with Turkiye increases the number of weekly all-cargo flights from three to seven per country. New rights under this agreement are immediately available to airlines.

“We are improving our international air connections to bring more people together and facilitate the movement of goods. More frequencies and new routes strengthen our supply chains,” Transport Minister Rodriguez said. Mary Ng, Canada’s Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, said: “Strengthening Canada’s connection with international partners will create opportunities and open new doors for Canadian businesses around the world. Today’s announcement will help advance our trade relationships, create new opportunities for our businesses and contribute to building a stronger economy.”

Within the scope of the agreement, seven passenger flights will be operated with Ethiopia instead of five weekly flights for each country. Jordan’s weekly three passenger flights were increased to seven passenger flights.
