Turkish Airlines adds service to southern Polish city

Decision to add new service was made based on market conditions, says Turkish flag carrier

Turkish Airlines has launched service to the southern Polish city of Katowice, Türkiye’s flag carrier announced Monday.

The decision to add this new service was made based on market conditions, the air carrier stated through the country’s Public Disclosure Platform.

Katowice, one of Poland’s major industrial, commercial, and financial hubs, is also one of the country’s greenest, with over 40% of its area covered by forestland,according to the Katowice City Hall.

Founded in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Turkish Airlines now flies to more than 340 points in 129 countries with a fleet of 395 aircraft.
