Turkish Airlines Resumes Flights to Libya After 10-Year Hiatus

Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dibeybe announced that Turkish Airlines will start flights to his country next week after 10 years.

Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dibeybe said in his statement on his social media account, “Alhamdulillah, after a break of approximately 10 years, Turkish Airlines (THY) will restart its flights to Libya as of next week.”

Pointing out that THY’s start of flights to Libya is an indicator of stability in his country, Dibeybe thanked the Civil Aviation Authority and all relevant institutions in his country for contributing to this step.

THY General Manager Bilal Eksi, in his statement on his social media account, said, “Our flights to Libya are starting. We will operate 3 flights a week. Our flight tickets are available for sale.”
