Stock exchange earns 25.3 points at opening session
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 7,868.00 points, up by 0.32% or 25.34 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed Wednesday at 7,842.66 points, down 3.36%,with a daily trading volume of 101 billion liras ($3.6 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 28.0220 as of 10.20 a.m. local time (07205GMT), while the euro/lira rate stood at 29.5480 and a British pound traded for 34.0030 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $91.05 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,960.55.
