BIST 100 earns nearly 87 points at opening session
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Monday at 7,792.84 points, up 1.13% or 86.85 points from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed last week at 7,705.99 points, up 0.55%, with a daily trading volume of 88 billion liras ($3.11 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 28.4305 as of 10.30 a.m. local time (0730GMT),the euro/lira rate stood at 30.5625, while a British pound traded for 35.2295 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $85.60 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,989.15.
