In 2022, 1 million 119 thousand 615 automobiles, 10 million 3 thousand 696 household refrigerators and freezers were produced in Turkiye.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the industrial product statistics for 2022.
Accordingly, 1 million 119 thousand 615 cars, 10 million 3 thousand 696 household refrigerators and freezers, 254 million 120 thousand 95 tons of ready mixed concrete, 1 million 409 thousand 755 combi boilers (hermetic), 10 million 869 thousand 892 solar cells and 399 thousand 272 motorcycles were produced in Turkiye in 2022.
The sales of the products produced by the enterprises totaled ₺8 trillion 922 billion 683 million. While this value was ₺4 trillion 209 billion 578 million in 2021, it was recorded as ₺2 trillion 492 billion 754 million in 2020.
12.8% of the said sales amount consisted of basic metal industry products. This was followed by food industry products with 12.7%, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (semi-trailer) manufacturing with 7.8%, and textile industry products with 7.5%.
When the products produced in the manufacturing industry in 2022 are classified according to their technology levels, it is seen that the products in the high technology class constitute 2.9% of the total sales value. The total of low and medium-low technology groups was 72%, and the share of medium-high technology group was 25.1%.
When classified according to the main industry groups, 49% of the total sales value was composed of intermediate goods and 20.9% of non-durable consumer goods. The share of energy was calculated as 8.3%.
In order to reveal the detailed production levels of industrial products in Turkiye, the results of the industrial product statistics study have been published by TUIK since the 2005 reference year.
