Turkey’s Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat, provided insights into the recently signed agreement with Ukraine, establishing an ‘Electronic Information Sharing System for Goods and Transportation.’ Bolat emphasized the significant contributions the agreement would make to enhancing trade volume between the two nations.
Taking to his social media accounts, Bolat shared his thoughts on the agreement, stating, “The ‘Electronic Information Sharing System for Goods and Transportation’ agreement, signed with Ukraine, will play a crucial role in boosting our trade volume with the country.”
He highlighted that the agreement was a product of discussions during the official visit of Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, who met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Bolat participated in the meetings and expressed optimism about the positive impact of the agreement on bilateral trade and transportation.
“In the context of the visit, we signed an agreement that will facilitate our mutual trade and transportation. Despite the challenges of ongoing conflicts, this agreement is poised to contribute significantly to the enhancement of trade relations between our two countries. We anticipate that our mutually resilient trade and economic ties, which have not lost momentum despite the war, will deepen further with the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement,” Bolat remarked.
The Trade Minister’s statement comes amid diplomatic efforts between Turkey and Ukraine, with both nations expressing a commitment to fostering stronger economic cooperation despite regional challenges.
