Turkish Trade Minister: We will continue our efforts to increase investments between Turkiye and Saudi Arabia

Minister of Trade Omer Bolat stated that they will continue their efforts to further strengthen the economic ties between Turkiye and Saudi Arabia and increase mutual investments.

In his post on his social media account, Minister Bolat stated that they first met with Minister of Investment Halid al-Falih within the scope of the Saudi Arabia program.

Pointing out that they discussed the investment opportunities and cooperation potential between the countries during the meeting, Bolat stated that they discussed the common goals they determined in this direction.

Bolat stated that they talked with al-Falih about investment and cooperation opportunities in many fields such as contracting, tourism, manufacturing industry, food and sustainable development, and said, “We will continue our efforts to further strengthen the economic ties between Turkiye and Saudi Arabia and increase mutual investments.”

Minister Bolat met with Minister of Rural Affairs and Housing Macid al-Hukayl

In his post on his social media account, Bolat stated that he also met with the Minister of Rural Affairs and Housing, Macid al-Hukayl, within the scope of his contacts in Saudi Arabia.

Pointing out that during the meeting, they discussed possible partnerships to strengthen cooperation in infrastructure, housing projects, recycling, waste management and sustainable construction projects, Bolat said:

“We will work together to ensure that our companies take an active part in new projects in Saudi Arabia, which will host many international organizations during Expo 2030 and beyond. The experience of our companies offers important opportunities for the cooperation of the two countries in projects within the framework of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision. With the implementation of this cooperation, we will strive to increase our contracting services, which reached approximately $3 billion with 16 projects in Saudi Arabia in 2023, to higher levels.”
