Turkiye: $5.5 billion export from the air conditioning industry

The export of the Turkish air conditioning industry increased by 8.6% in January-October 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year and reached $5 billion 496 million. Most exports were made to Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy.

According to the information compiled from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turkiye’s exports in October increased by 3% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to $21.3 billion.

Turkiye’s exports in the January-October period, on the other hand, increased by 15% and reached $209.5 billion.

In October, the export of the air conditioning industry increased by 7.6% compared to the same month of the previous year and reached $552 million. The 10-month exports of the sector approached $5.5 billion.

Germany is the industry’s largest export market

In the January-October 2022 period, the highest export was made to Germany with $584 million. Germany was followed by the United Kingdom with $356 million, Italy with 326 million and Russia with $232 million.

Other countries with the highest exports were France, Romania, Iraq, Spain and Poland.

In the 10 months of the year, the province with the highest exports in the air conditioning sector was Istanbul with $2 billion 141 million.

Istanbul was followed by Manisa with $609 million, Kocaeli with $463 million, Izmir with $449 million and Bursa with $408 million.
