Turkiye: April agricultural input price index has been revealed

Agricultural input price index (Agriculture-IPI) increased by 0.63% on a monthly basis and by 40.2% on an annual basis in April.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the Agri-IPI data for April.

Accordingly, the index increased by 0.63% in April compared to the previous month, by 9.74% compared to December of the previous year, by 40.2% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 97.43% compared to the 12-month averages.

Compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 0.51% in the index of goods and services used in agriculture, and 1.4% in the index of goods and services that contribute to agricultural investment. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index of goods and services used in agriculture increased by 36.43% and the index of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment increased by 71.35%.

SUB GROUPS

According to the annual Agri-IPI, 4 subgroups showed lower variation and 7 subgroups showed higher variation. The subgroups with low annual increase were energy and oils with 3.32% and fertilizer and soil improvers with 9.11%, respectively. The sub-groups with the highest annual increase were listed as other goods and services with 88.8% and materials with 84.14%.

According to the Monthly Agriculture-IPI, a lower change was observed in 3 subgroups and a higher change in 8 subgroups. The subgroups that showed a decrease compared to the previous month were energy and oils with 3.65%, fertilizers and soil improvers with 0.27%, respectively. The sub-groups with the highest monthly increase were listed as veterinary expenditures with 9.08% and machinery maintenance expenses with 4.46%.
