Salahattin Kaplan, Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly Carpet Sector Board, stated that Turkiye’s carpet exports reached $234 million 317 thousand in May with an increase of 48.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Kaplan, in his written statement, stated that they are glad that carpet exports have returned to normal.

Noting that the figures in the sector are promising, Kaplan said, “Our carpet exports in May reached $234 million 317 thousand with an increase of 48.5% in Turkiye. I congratulate all our carpet exporters.”

Pointing out that the earthquakes in Kahramanmaras on February 6 also affected carpet manufacturers and exporters, Kaplan noted that the production facilities started to work again and production continued at full speed.
