Turkiye’s LPG imports increased by 28.7% in June

LPG imports of Turkiye increased by 28.7% in June compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 385 thousand 544 tons.

According to the “Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG) Market Sector Report” of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority for June, the countries to which LPG is imported by refinery and distributor license holders are Algeria, USA, Russia, Kazakhstan, Spain, Nigeria and Egypt.

LPG imports increased by 28.7% in June compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 385 thousand 544 tons.

In this period, LPG exports made by refinery and distributor license holders decreased by 50.8% to 15 thousand 370 tons.

Exports were made to Lebanon, Romania, TRNC, Bulgaria, Turkiye free zones and Seychelles.

LPG production decreased by 34.7% in the same period and became 66 thousand 982 tons.

The total LPG sales made by the distributor license holders in June compared to the same month of the previous year were calculated as approximately 394 thousand 456 tons.

In the month in question, autogas ranked first in sales with a market share of 81.8%. This was followed by cylinder LPG sales with 14.4% and bulk LPG sales with 3.8%.
