BIST 100 index earns some 30.3 points at opening
Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened the week at 5,414.87 points on Monday, rising by 0.56%, or 30.31 points, from the previous close.
On Friday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was down 1.13% to close the day at 5,384.56, with a daily trading volume of 86 billion liras ($4.55 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 18.9612 as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0900GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 20.4113,while a British pound traded for 23.0482 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $83.03 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,878.80.
