Local manufacturing industry units operate at 76.8% of capacity in June, Central Bank survey shows
The capacity utilization rate of Turkiye’s manufacturing industry rose from month-on-month in June, according to official data released on Wednesday.
Local manufacturing industry units operated at 76.8% of their capacity this month, up 0.8 percentage points from May, Turkish Central Bank data showed.
The seasonally adjusted capacity utilization rate in the manufacturing industry ticked up 0.3 percentage points to 76.6% in June.
While the highest capacity utilization in June was seen in investment goods at 79.2%, the lowest was in non-durable consumer goods at 73.9%.
Capacity utilization rate figures are based on the responses of local units operating in the manufacturing industry to a business tendency survey.
The Turkish Central Bank said 1,759 companies responded to the survey this month, and the data did not reflect the bank’s views or predictions.
