Uludag Exporters’ Association’s exports in September were approximately $3 billion

It was reported that the exports of Uludag Exporters’ Associations (UIB) in September were approximately $3 billion.

According to the statement made by UIB, UIB’s exports, which were $2 billion 978 million 440 thousand last month, increased by 15% in the January-September period compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching $26 billion 829 million 928 thousand.

September exports of Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters Association (OIB) amounted to $2 billion 392 million 920 thousand, an increase of 2% compared to the same month last year. OIB’s 9-month foreign sales increased by 17% compared to the same period in 2022, reaching $22 billion 80 million 736 thousand.

Uludag Textile Exporters Association (UTIB) achieved exports of $111 million 586 thousand last month. UTIB’s January-September exports were recorded as $962 million 510 thousand.

The exports of Uludag Ready-made Clothing and Apparel Exporters Association, which reached $73 million 999 thousand in foreign sales in September, reached $768 million 795 thousand in the 9 months of the year.

Uludag Fruit and Vegetable Products Exporters Association, which exported $30 million 652 thousand last month, achieved foreign sales of $207 million 529 thousand in the January-September period.

Uludag Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association, which exported $31 million 497 thousand in September, reached sales of $148 million 743 thousand in the 9 months of the year.

The September 2023 exports of the sectors whose exports were registered through UIB and listed under the “other” heading amounted to $337 million 786 thousand.

Evaluating the export data, UIB Coordinator President Baran Celik said, “Despite the global economic developments and the contraction in the European market, UIB’s exports continue to increase as a result of the diligent work of our members and our work towards new markets as a union. Our contribution to our country’s exports will continue to increase in line with our goals.”
