Strong Investor Demand for Turkey Sovereign Wealth Fund’s Bond Issue

The Turkey Sovereign Wealth Fund received significant demand, surpassing $7 billion, for its bond issuance.

According to information obtained by AA correspondent, following discussions with investors in London on February 5-6, the Turkey Sovereign Wealth Fund entered the international markets with a bond issuance on February 7.

The 5-year transaction, structured under Reg S to be sold to non-U.S. investors, had an initial price of 9.125%. The transaction garnered immediate and robust interest from investors, resulting in demand exceeding $7 billion. Following two consecutive price revisions, the yield rate was adjusted to 8.375%.

The keen interest in the bond issuance underscores the confidence of international markets in the Turkish economy and its new economic policies. Investor demand continues, and the final yield rate of the transaction will be determined by the end of the day.
