Dried fruits, which are prepared with great effort from the products grown in the fertile lands of Anatolia, were delivered to 129 countries and free zones in the January-March period of the year.
Exporters increased their trade volume by 16% compared to the same period of the previous year, with an income of $403 million 251 thousand.
Seedless raisins took the first place
The most exported product of the sector was seedless raisins with $98 million 936 thousand.
This product was followed by dried apricots with $91 million 626 thousand, pistachios with $60 million 787 thousand, dried figs with $59 million 749 thousand. It was noteworthy that exports of pistachios increased by 66% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Germany ranks first in exports
In this period, the highest amount of foreign sales was made to European Union countries with $163 million 783 thousand. Among the countries, Germany ranked first with exports of $56 million 903 thousand, followed by England with $37 million 654 thousand and Italy with $28 million 487 thousand.
