The new route of Carpet Exporters is Kenya and Tanzania

Carpet manufacturers from Gaziantep, which produce 73% of the world’s machine-made carpet production, continued their search for new markets, and this time they turned their route to Africa. GAHIB organized a sectoral trade delegation to conduct investigations in Kenya and Tanzania, which are among the most important markets of Africa.

A sectoral trade delegation to Kenya and Tanzania in Africa was organized by the Southeast Anatolian Carpet Exporters’ Association.

Announcing that carpet exporters will hold various meetings in Kenya and Tanzania between 27 November and 3 December 2022, GAHIB President Zeynal Abidin Kaplan said, “We produce 73% of the world’s machine-made carpet production. We are the leader of the world’s machine-made carpet production. In order to be more effective in world markets with our innovative products and to make our presence felt in new markets in the upcoming period, we organized the Kenya-Tanzania Sectoral Trade Delegation for Kenya and Tanzania, which are among the most important markets of the African Continent. Our delegation, consisting of GAHIB members, will move to Kenya’s capital Nairobi on November 27, 2022 and make various contacts there, then move to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, and return home on December 3, 2022, by making various contacts regarding our sector. Of course, we have to take an active part in the world markets in order to develop our sector, increase our exports and make new breakthroughs by maintaining our leadership. Therefore, especially in 2023, our search for new markets will continue with more country visits.”
