AA Finans 4th Quarter Growth Expectations Survey has been concluded

Economists participating in the expectations survey of AA Finans predict that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 2.8% in the 4th quarter of last year.

AA Finans’ expectation survey for the 4th quarter GDP data of 2022, which will be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) on Tuesday, February 28, resulted in the participation of 13 economists.

According to the survey results, economists estimate that the Turkish economy grew by 2.8% in the last quarter of last year. The growth expectations of the economists participating in the survey for the last quarter of 2022 were between 2.2% and 4%.

The average of economists’ growth expectations for the whole of 2022 was 5.2%. Estimates for the aforementioned expectation were recorded as the lowest 5% and the highest 5.4%.

On the other hand, the average of the forecasts of 9 economists who conveyed their growth expectations for the end of 2023 was 3.3%.

The Turkish economy grew by 7.5% in the first quarter, 7.7% in the second quarter and 3.9% in the third quarter of 2022.
