The Ministry of Treasury and Finance provided information about the agreement on its social media account.
The post stated:
“The ‘Agreement to Prevent Double Taxation and to Combat Tax Evasion and Avoidance’ between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Cuba, whose first round of negotiations took place on February 4-8, 2002, and the second round on June 6-9, 2023, was signed on March 13, 2024. The agreement, signed by our Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, on behalf of Turkey, and Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz on behalf of Cuba, will make a significant contribution to the economic relations between the two countries.”
